I love ATCs (artist trading cards) because of their small size. It’s a nice way to try different things without investing a huge amount of supplies. Or time. For those of you who aren’t familiar with ATCs, they are pieces 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size. Just about the size of a playing card.
When I first made ATCs eons ago, we used to mount them directly on playing cards. I don’t know if people still do that. Since most of my art is now digital, I print them on photo paper or card stock.
I painted the girl’s head in ArtRage on my iPad. If you have an iPad, please get this app. It’s inexpensive and a great thing to play with. I can say that I am finally keeping an artist’s journal and it’s all on my iPad done through ArtRage.
The other elements came from digital scrapbooking items I have collected. I love digital scrapbooking supplies because they are easier to keep track of than traditional supplies. I don’t need closet space…just hard disk space!
What did you create today?
Oh the French. “Je t’aime du plus profond de mon me” means “I love thee with the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.” By Anonymous.
I let this site wallow for awhile because I was not clear about the direction I wanted to take it. I’ve decided to not remove the older posts, but to leave them. I’m fallible…
I love the idea of coaching. I love the idea of being creative. I’m proud of my creativity and love the places it’s taken me. I want to share that creativity with you!
Play With Susie will be my online art journal and the place where I hope to inspire you! There will be challenges and prompts. There will be links so we can share.
I don’t want to be creative alone! So won’t you play with me?!
